ZSL News Bulletin: Spotlight on ZSL-Cameroon’s activities
According to information published in its information magazine, the second quarter of 2014 was a very busy one for ZSL-Cameroon. The magazine recounts its participation in the drafting workshop on the national strategy for the oil sector in Cameroon, which took place from 18 to 20 June 2014 at Florence Hotel, Ebolowa. The workshop aimed to bring key players together to develop a guiding policy for the palm oil sector in Cameroon. The organization equally conducted an information exchange and study trip to the Lomako Yokokaka wildlife reserve and the DRC, from 10 to 22 to discuss major challenges in great apes protection across the conservation landscape. The bulletin equally features a detailed report on the budding partnership between ZSL-Cameroon and Rainforest. The partnership aims to bolster the fight against poaching and illegal tree-felling. Through the partnership, ZSL-Cameroon will foray into constructive innovations such as ecological monitoring using new tools and the same goes for all other information on protection of fisheries resources in the Lake Ossa reserve over the next three years.
