WFC - XIV World Forestry Congress 2015 : Call for abstracts: papers, posters and videos

Please consult the Official website of the Congress:  XIV World Forestry Congress 2015

Help define a vision for forests

Share your people-centred ideas, field experiences, cutting-edge research, development projects, practical applications and theoretical models at the world’s largest and most important gathering of the forest sector.

We are inviting abstracts on the central theme of the XIV World Forestry Congress, “Forests and People: Investing in a Sustainable Future”, and on relevant topics that also align with any of the six Congress sub-themes:

  • Forests for socio-economic development and food security
  • Building resilience with forests
  • Integrating forests and other land uses
  • Encouraging product innovation and sustainable trade
  • Monitoring forests for better decision-making
  • Improving governance by building capacity

UNTIL 30 JANUARY 2015

More detailed information on each sub-theme can be found here.

For the first time, we are calling for abstracts for video presentations as well as voluntary papers and posters. Videos will allow you to actively demonstrate your work in the field – for example through interviews with beneficiaries of projects and initiatives, or with practical demonstrations.

Papers will be published on the Congress website. A few papers will also be selected for presentation in thematic sessions.

Posters
