adiac-congo: Sustainable forest management: Subregion’s experts finetune the report on participatory forestry
19 September- Some 30 forestry experts from member countries of the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC) are gathered in Brazzaville to review and validate the new study report on participatory forestry.
The workshop is hosted by the Government with the support of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC).
For two days, forestry experts from the subregion will consider the issue of sustainable forest management, also known as participatory forestry, a concept that advocates for responsible and sustainable forest management, that engages local communities and indigenous peoples.
