Adiac-congo-Congo Basin: Developing indicators for intact forest landscape identification and management
Forestry experts of the Congo Basin, representatives of indigenous peoples, conservation organizations (WWF, WCS) and private sector operators, as well as the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC) meeting in Brazzaville, parted on 24 August after discussing the development of indicators for the identification and management of intact forest landscapes.
This gathering of the Congo Basin Sub-regional Working Group was held on the recommendation of the 7th General Assembly of the Global Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), held in September 2014 in Seville, Spain. It called on FSC certified loggers to strengthen the conservation of intact forest landscapes.
