Open and transparent discussions between CBFP partners allowed for an in-depth examination of the key themes that would facilitate and boost the harmonious implementation of the COMIFAC Convergence Plan and major international Conventions on the Congo Basin Environment and Forests. The major conclusions of the outgoing Facilitator that were read during the closing ceremony were unanimously approved by CBFP partners.

N’Djamena (Chad), 20-21 September 2012 – Under the distinguished patronage of His Excellency Emmanuel NADIGAR, Head of the Chadian Government, the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP) took place at the Hôtel Kempinski, N’Djaména, Republic of Chad. Chaired by the His Excellency Bavon N’SA MPUTU ELIMA, Minister of the Environment, Protection of Nature and Tourism of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and current Chair of the Forest Commission of Central Africa (COMIFAC)  and His Excellency Mahamat Okormi, Chadian Minister of Environment and Fisheries Resources, the Plenary Meeting was organized with the technical support of COMIFAC and several CBFP members, as well as the technical and financial support of the Chadian and Canadian Governments including other CBFP members.
