EU FAO FLEGT Programme calls for project proposals from non-VPA-engaged countries
The EU FAO FLEGT Programme is now accepting project proposals from government institutions, civil society and private sector organizations in eligible timber-producing countries not already engaged in Voluntary Partnership Agreements (VPAs). Grants of up to €100 000 are available through the call. Proposals should address one of the programme’s eight thematic areas of support.
Countries are strongly encouraged to pre-select projects through existing national-level, multi-stakeholder processes or coalitions to ensure consistency with national priorities and to best involve different stakeholders in the project.
Before applying, the Programme encourages all applicants to carefully read the tutorial entitled “EU FAO FLEGT Programme - Objectives and opportunities for support in implementing the FLEGT Action Plan”. It includes information on the FLEGT process and forest governance and also tips on “Do’s and Don’ts” for submitting proposals.
Proposals must follow the guidelines on how to apply, the guidelines contain information on eligibility criteria and selection process; proposal format; and how to submit proposals.

The proposal must be submitted no later than:
