The Executive Secretariat of COMIFAC has released a report of activities undertaken in 2013. The report presents an overview of the institution and recalls its vision and missions. It equally outlines priority areas of intervention for the year namely: The organization of statutory meetings, the operationnalization of COMIFAC’s monitoring and evaluation system, the organization of thematic working group meetings, awareness raising among the countries on equal contribution and funding mechanisms, support provided to OFAC and CEFDHAC, participation in international conferences and regional meetings, coordination and implementation of various programs and projects.

The release equally reveals the contributions of member countries and various financial and institutional partners at subregional, regional and international level. In line with the initial schedule of activities planned for 2013 at the Executive Secretariat, a statistical report is presented, underscoring the implementation rate of each of the following activities: planning, monitoring and evaluation of implementation of the Convergence Plan; Subregional consultation and capacity-building; the international dialogue on forests and environment and promotion of COMIFAC; coordinating implementation of the Convergence Plan and partnerships, and organization of COMIFAC’s statutory meetings.

A brief presentation of the financial statement features the contributions of various stakeholders, the state of implementation of the budget and a statement of sources and uses of funds under the MSP project.

The report ends with a presentation of all resources available within COMIFAC including material and human resources which helped to implement activities in 2013.
