Yaounde (Cameroon) - the Cameroon Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife on Tuesday in Yaounde, incinerated 2000 elephant tusks and 1,753 ivory works of art seized from poachers and traffickers.
The incineration ceremony, ordered by the Head of State Paul Biya, was held in the presence of several members of government, elected representatives as well as the US ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, who has been visiting Cameroon since Monday.
