africatime.com-Afrique: an initiative to restore 100 millions hectares of forest landscape by 2030
An initiative to restore the equivalent of 100 million hectares of forest and agricultural lands which have become unproductive in Africa by 2030 was launched on Sunday in Paris, on the margins of the climate conference (COP21), an ambitious goal.
The project, backed by the African Union, the German Ministry of Cooperation and the World Resources Institute in Washington, was named AFR100 meaning "African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative".
