2016 IUCN World Congress: up we go!
Honolulu, Hawai'i in the United States of America which is hosting the 2016 World Conservation Congress of IUCN, has received the excited support of President Barack Obama, of his administration and of the State of Hawai'i. The deliberations of the said Congress, the largest and most significant world event on conservation, are starting on September 1st, 2016 in Hawai'i, United States.
The theme of the IUCN World Conservation Congress, the planet at the crossroads, recognizes the need for implementing practical and sustainable solutions to take up the environmental and development challenges facing our planet. The IUCN World Congress is held every four years. This 6th edition which will end on next September 10th brings together governmental and non-governmental organizations, scientists and representatives of enterprises and of local communities worldwide to ponder together over the solutions that nature can bring to a great number of our problems.
