Special session of COMIFAC Council of Ministers
The special session of the COMIFAC Council of Ministers will be held from 10 to 12 May 2016 in Kinshasa. The main purpose of the session on the one hand, is to decide on the operational conditions for implementing the decisions of COP-21 of Paris, and on the other hand, consider some important matters relating to the life of the institution.
The ministerial session will proceed in two segments, namely: (i) the expert segment comprising the National COMIFAC Coordinators , representatives of the Climate Working Group , representatives of sub regional institutions and programs and of development partners. About 30 participants are expected to attend the meeting, (ii) the ministerial segment on the other hand will bring together the ministers in charge of forests and the ministers in charge of the environment of the COMIFAC member countries.
