Regional REDD + Project assesses beneficiaries’ satisfaction level
In a bid to assess the quality and adequacy of services provided by the Regional Project for Enhancing Capacity to Reduce Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (PREREDD +), the project administrator commissioned a beneficiary satisfaction survey, whose findings were presented at a feedback workshop held on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at La Falaise Hotel in Bonanjo, Douala.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Raymond MBITIKON, Executive Secretary of the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC) in the presence of the Project Manager from the World Bank, Mr. Loïc BRAUNE, UNFCCC focal points of the country, the Chairman of the Regional Steering Committee of the Conference on Dense and Humid Forest Ecosystems of Central Africa (CEFDHAC) who are members of the project steering committee as well as National REDD + Coordinators of countries involved in the project.
The workshop aimed to present the survey results which would provide a statistical picture of current satisfaction levels and expectations of beneficiaries of the Regional REDD + project which is in its mid-term stage. In his introductory remarks, the Executive Secretary of COMIFAC, speaking on behalf of the entire staff of the Executive Secretariat extended best wishes to all the participants and stressed the relevance of the workshop to the implementation the project.
