The Network of Parliamentarians for Sustainable Management of Forest Ecosystems in Central Africa (REPAR): The 100th member of the CBFP!
Yaoundé, 14 June 2017. In accordance with the commitment made in Kigali in November 2016, the Network of Parliamentarians for Sustainable Management of Forest Ecosystems in Central Africa (REPAR)has officially joined the 99 members of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP) which works to promote sustainable resources management and improve people’s living conditions.
As part of the process, REPAR has submitted the required documents and subscribed to the principles of the CBFP members’ cooperation framework to promote sustainable management of forest ecosystems in Central Africa.
Since its inception, REPAR has worked closely with COMIFAC in implementing its Convergence Plan. REPAR’s priority actions are mainly geared towards preserving and enhancing biodiversity; as well as strengthening and consolidating people’s rights in laws and policies relating to resource management.
The Network of Parliamentarians for sustainable management of forest ecosystems in Central Africa (REPAR) is officially the 100th Member of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP).
The European Facilitation of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership is very pleased to welcome the Network of Parliamentarians for Sustainable Management of Forest Ecosystems in Central Africa (REPAR) as a new CBFP member.
