New edition of summary update of the National REDD+ Coordination of the Republic of the Congo
The National Coordination REDD has launched the 4th National Campaign on REDD+ and R-PP, on the occasion of the World Bank Portfolio Review.
The World Bank Country Portfolio Performance Review in the Republic of the Congo, (RPPC), which took place in the conference room of the Radisson Blu Hotel, on 20 June 2016, in Brazzaville, provided the setting for the National REDD Coordination to launch its 4th national campaign to raise stakeholder awareness on REDD+ and R-PP. The campaign will run until 20 November 2016.
Held under the distinguished patronage of Mr Gilbert Ondongo, Minister of the Economy, Industrial development, Promotion of the private sector, and Governor of the World Bank in Congo, who was accompanied by Mr. Ahmadou Moustapha Ndiaye, Director of Operations at the World Bank in the DRC and the Republic of Congo, and Mr. Djibrilla Adama Issa, Resident Representative of the World Bank in the Republic of Congo, the portfolio review was themed: "The contribution of Government projects co-financed by the World Bank and the Republic of Congo to the country’s development."
Mr Henri Djombo, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and Ms. Ingrid Olga Ebouka Babakas and Ms Adelaide Mougany, respectively Minister of Planning, Statistics and Regional Integration and Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Crafts and the Informal Sector, also took part in the ceremony.
