New York, 5 June - The President of the Republic, His Excellency Ali Bongo Ondimba announced Monday, in a speech delivered at the United Nations headquarters, that the Gabonese Government has just created a network of 20 marine protected areas in Gabon, including 9 marine parks and 11 aquatic reserves covering 26% of Gabon’s territorial waters.
