Mediaterre: Popularization of Convergence Plan 2 underway in the Congo
Brazzaville, 23 August 2016: the Ministry of the Forest Economy, Sustainable Development and the Environment, in partnership with the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC), held a workshop to popularize Convergence Plan 2. The workshop aimed to train participants on the new guidelines for conservation and sustainable management of Central Africa’s forest ecosystems.
The Convergence Plan which was adopted in 2014 by the Ministers of the COMIFAC member countries covers the period from 2015 to 2025 and will provide the sub regional organization’s member countries with a new guide for the management and coordination of forest sector programs and projects at the national and sub-regional levels.
