Nouabale-Ndoki National Park monthly newsletter_OCT 2017.pdf
This last month, about 100 fishermen along the Sangha River received training by the Park Management Unit on the construction and use of Chorkor ovens, promoting a fish-smoking technique that maximizes its conservation and helps reducing of harvest rates on fishery resources.
These kinds of activities supporting local fishermen in the periphery of the park also help us gain their support notably in the fight against the illegal capture of African grey parrots, for which we are currently building a new revalidation center in Bomassa.
