COMIFAC Operational 2017: New statutory team sets priorities for 2017
"As the new statutory team of the COMIFAC Executive Secretariat takes office, we want to assure you of our commitment to further enhance the image and credibility of COMIFAC especially by capitalizing the gains made so far and by further strengthening the confidence of member countries and partners in the institution.” This excerpt from the opening speech of the COMIFAC Executive Secretary during the operational planning 2017 workshop of the CES encapsulates some of the new team’s priorities.
From 7 to 8 February 2017, the city of Sangmelima located in the South region of Cameroon hosted the deliberations of the operational planning workshop on the annual activities of the COMIFAC Executive Secretariat (CES). Organized with the technical and financial support of the GIZ COMIFAC support project, the workshop saw the participation of 34 people, including COMIFAC staff, the representative of the Acting Presidency of COMIFAC, the COMIFAC National Coordination of Cameroon, and several partners who contribute to the implementation of the COMIFAC Convergence Plan: The GIZ COMIFAC Support Program ( GIZ COMIFAC support project, ABS, BSB Yamoussa), the EU CBFP Facilitation, the JICA COMIFAC Support Project, PPECF, IUCN, REDD+/WB/GEF Project, WWF, FTNS, PARC, OFAC, CEFDHAC.
