GSAC NETWORK: An Alliance for large-apes in Central Africa is born
On 19 October 2016, a constituent General Assembly (AG) of the Alliance for the conservation of great apes in Central Africa (abbreviated in French as Alliance-ACMG) was held in Limbe. The AG was the fruit of discussions that began in early 2016 between 6 civil society organizations (CSOs) from 4 Central African countries (CA), actively involved with biodiversity conservation issues in the Congo Basin. They met in Nkala (DRC) in April 2016 for a first strategic workshop that produced a six-month action plan which is currently being implemented.
