Governments, business and investors must act faster and think bigger in fighting climate change and promoting sustainable development, experts at the 2014 Global Landscapes Forum said – and they identified finance, human rights and sustainable landscapes as the necessary artillery. More than 1,700 people from 90 countries – among them 14 Ministers and Vice Ministers and a former President – took part in the two-day event. “Whether we talk about rights, finance or research for landscapes, we must not be afraid to think big – very big,” said CIFOR’s Director General Peter Holmgren.
