Forest Stewardship Council officially recognizes Cameroon National FSC Standards Development Group
The Forest Stewardship Council has officially recognized the National Group in charge of developing FSC Standards for Cameroon. The Working Group brings together actors in three (03) sections: economic, environmental and social. Each section has the same number of members (equal weight in representing economic, environmental and social interests). The Group equally counts a chairperson and a secretariat, as well as a committee of technical experts in forest management and certification.
A Consultative Forum will be open to all stakeholders on request. It will be consulted at each stage of the development of indicators, and will thus have the option to provide inputs on indicators defined by the Standards Development Group. The Consultative Forum will ensure that all stakeholders have had a chance to formally submit input during the Standards development process. Feedback from the Forum will be taken into account and integrated by the Group. We hereby thank all those of you who have already applied to join the process as part of the Advisory Forum.
