Eco-security, man/wildlife conflict and land use take centre stage at debates: All roads lead to N'Djamena!
The Ministers of Wildlife Protection, Security and Defense matters, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Territorial Administration, of the Member States of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) have gathered in N'Djamena to discuss political, legal, diplomatic and socio-economic issues surrounding eco-security, man/wildlife conflict and other land use related conflicts in Central Africa.
Meeting in N'Djamena on 27 July 2017 during the ECCAS Ministers’ Conference on eco-security, man/wildlife conflict and other land use related conflicts in Central Africa, the Ministers pledged to integrate the implementation of the July 2017 N'Djamena Declaration in regional actions undertaken. The main aim of the high-level conference was : to adopt strategic, legal and institutional, as well as technical and operational tools and strengthen eco-security and effective management of man/wildlife conflict and other land use related conflicts.
