Environews/DRC - EU: European Union sanctions will not affect 11th EDF financing
The European Union will pursue its commitment to the DRC’s environmental sector and to biodiversity in particular in spite of sanctions imposed on the country’s political sector, said Barthe Ouvry, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in the DRC.
During an audience granted Tuesday 03 July by the Congolese Minister of the Environment and Sustainable Development, Amy Ambatobe, Barthe Ouvry reiterated his institution’s commitment to continue implementing various biodiversity conservation projects initiated in the DRC, regardless of sanctions imposed on the Congolese authorities.
