Wageningen University - Centre for Development Innovation: Call for Applications - Training course on local governance and rural decentralization 2013



The course is designed for people who are involved with governance processes in a context of rural decentralisation, including government officials, project and programme managers, policy makers, consultants, NGO staff, federations of community organizations or private sector organizations.

Pour l'application, la procédure est la suivante :

 

1) Appliquer au CDI, Wageningen UR: www.wageningenur.nl/cdi. Vous recevrez une confirmation et de plus amples informations dans une semaine. Une application anticipée est recommandé puisque la procédure pour finaliser souscription (par exemple le financement, visa) peut prendre du temps.



2) Si vous souhaitez appliquer aussi pour une bourse NFP, vérifier l'éligibilité à www.nuffic.nl/nfp. Un nombre limité de bourses est disponible. Pour postuler pour une bourse, veuillez-vous inscrire par le site web de SOL (= Scholarships Online). Comme cette application prend du temps (et exige de plusieurs documents) nous vous conseillons de commencer dès que possible.

Les ressortissants des pays francophones et lusophones suivants peuvent postuler pour une bourse NUFFIC - NFP : Bénin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cap Vert, République Démocratique du Congo, Mali, Rwanda, Guinée Bissau, Mozambique et Sénégal. Veuillez noter pourtant que les possibilités d’obtention d’une bourse sont très limitées.



Les personnes employées par une organisation multinationale, une organisation des Nations Unies, de la Banque Mondiale, de FMI, des bailleurs de fonds bilatéraux ne peuvent pas postuler pour une bourse mais sont les bienvenues avec d’autres sources de financement.

Development and institutionalization of a PAFC certification system for the Congo basin: opening of the second public consultation on Sustainable Forest Management Certification Standard, 23 May 2020 - 22 June 2020

This second public consultation will be open for a period of 30 days from tomorrow Saturday the 23rd of May 2020 and will be closed on Monday the 22nd of June 2020. The public consultation is open to all stakeholders of forest management in the Congo Basin interested in participating to the PAFC Congo Basin certification standards development process.

Forest defenders on the COVID-19 frontline stand ready to assist the global EU response – Fern

These efforts go hand in hand with ensuring continued responsible management of natural resources and preventing unsustainably and illegally sourced forest commodities. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, forest-monitoring organisations Observatoire de la Gouvernance Forestière (OGF) and Réseau des observateurs indépendants des ressources naturelles (RENOI) are set to carry out COVID awareness-raising in at-risk forest areas, and will also assess COVID’s impact on forest management and governance commitments under the Central African Forest Initiative (CAFI). Across the Congo Basin, fears that a proper lack of oversight may put forests and forest peoples in danger are looming despite emerging initiatives.
