FINAL COMMUNIQUE
INTRODUCTION
The Conference of ECCAS Ministers on the validation of Emergency Action Plans Against Poaching in the forest and savannah zones of Central Africa took place on April 28, 2015 in Brazzaville (Republic of the Congo). The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Mr. Henri DJOMBO, Minister of Forest Economy and Sustainable Development.
L. CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
The Conference of Ministers aimed to validate Emergency Action Plans Against Poaching (PAULAB) in Central African forest and Savannah zones. The Action Plans are meant to guide activities conducted within the subregion over the next five years.
Its specific objectives were to:
- Review and validate the two proposed Emergency Action Plans against Poaching in forest and Savannah zones;
- Review and validate the proposed institutional framework for implementation ;
- Review and validate the proposed communication plan ;
- Identify sources of financing;
- Discuss and validate the road map and the follow-up committee on the implementation of the two action plans...
