Transforming REDD+: Lessons and new directions
Yaounde, 27 April 2020 – Since 2007, more than 50 countries have established a REDD+ strategy, several international governments have officially committed to curbing deforestation and over 350 projects and programmes have been implemented in the tropics. Yet few studies have been conducted to date to assess to what extent the initiative has helped reduce emissions from forest deforestation and degradation.
