CAFI- Discover the Forests of the Republic of Congo
Home to 22.5 million hectares of forests – 65% of its territory – and boasting one of the lowest deforestation rates in the Congo basin (0.06% - 211,410 ha/year net, for 2000-2014), we look in-depth at the forests of the Republic of Congo.
During the summer of 2018, CAFI launched a Twitter campaign that explored the forests of the Republic of Congo, providing key facts and figures to illustrate the context and drivers of deforestation and forest degradation.
