Bonn (Germany) -14 November 2017 – COMIFAC hosted a high-level side event in the Brum - BULA ZONE 3 meeting room. The session was graced by several ministers from COMIFAC and other countries parties, ECCAS and representatives of international organizations. The session was entitled: Who will pay for Congo Basin forests conservation for their contribution to the balance of the global climate system?
The high-level parallel session aimed to highlight the countries' efforts in the area of conservation, sustainable management and their contributions to the fight against climate change.
The event was divided into three sessions: an introduction, a technical segment and a high-level panel. The meeting was moderated by Mr. Patrice LEFEU, Executive Director, EY, Europe, Middle East, Africa and India R & D & Innovation Funding, Climate Financial Mechanisms and Public Funding Efficiency Leader.
