During the last year, ATIBT has been very active in responding to many of the challenges around tropical forests. The objective, then and today, is to support the needs of its members and therefore, the need to promote the responsible use of these valuable resources and their products.
In this year 2015, people and the environment remain at the core of ATIBT’s activities, through its focus on three main strategic pillars: responsible forest management, advanced wood processing and markets.
The bottom line is development, driven by responsible actors throughout the value chain. Development that strongly contributes to improve food security and nutrition of the communities who play an active role in this value chain: be it forest dwellers or wood products traders.
