October 21, 2009 Modigliana (FC) / Bonn- Alpi Group expressed officially its desire to join the partnership in order to reinforce its progress towards the sustainable management of its forest concessions in Congo Basin.
Mr. Luciano Pradal, Chairman of the Group described in his letter of membership his commitment without any reserve to the principles stated in the document „ CBFP cooperation framework". According to Mr. Pradal, „these principles frame perfectly with the strategy of commitment and progress towards sustainable management and the certification of our forest concessions and our timber exploitations and transformation activities followed by our Group since few years".
ALPI is an industrial group that has achieved consistent growth throughout its long history. Since it was created in 1919, it has evolved into an international group with more than 50 percent of its production based overseas. It is made up of 7 companies, 11 production sites and 2400 employees all over Italy, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire and Tunisia.
