seminars on nature conservation in German development cooperation. (29 July – 3 August 2019) and (5 – 10 August 2019)

Dear colleagues,

We kindly invite you to join us this summer at the International Academy for Nature Conservation on the Isle of Vilm for the yearly seminars on nature conservation in German development cooperation!

The first week (29 July – 3 August 2019) is dedicated to the topic "Biodiversity conservation for human wellbeing" and will provide you with an introduction to concepts, instruments and trends of conservation and development cooperation as well as offer a forum to exchange experiences.

The second seminar (5 – 10 August 2019) is this year focusing on the topic "Ecosystem-based Adaptation: Opportunities in policy and practice" and will allow you to learn more about EbA, its challenges and barriers but also how to overcome them.

Both seminars will take place at the International Academy for Nature Conservation on the Isle of Vilm, Germany.

Attached are more details on the seminars as well as the application forms. If you are interested to join one or both seminars, submit your application by 31 March 2019.

Upcoming Events

Currently there are no events.

This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.

Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
