Oceans Day at UNFCCC COP 21

Oceans Day will be held on the sidelines of the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 21) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It aims to advance the oceans and climate change agenda at COP 21 and beyond. Activities undertaken for the Day will: report on the science of oceans and climate change; showcase successful efforts in policies on oceans and climate, such as on ocean acidification and linkages among biodiversity, climate change and fisheries, among others; identify key actions on oceans and climate change to be addressed through the UNFCCC process; identify what the oceans community can do to advance the oceans and climate change agenda outside of the UNFCCC process; and mobilize resources. Oceans Day at COP 21 is expected to result in a strategic action plan for the oceans and climate change agenda for the next five years.

Upcoming Events

Currently there are no events.

This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.

Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
