ICCF Forum on US role within CBFP (Washington)

The US American International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF) is making preparations to host a Forum in Washington D.C on the role of the United States in the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP) will take place on September 29th 2009.

Coinciding with the opening of the U.N. General Assembly and the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) U.S.-Africa Business Summit, the Forum aims to reenergize U.S. Congressional and Administration support for the CBFP. The Forum will bring together Heads of State and/or Senior Ministerial Representatives of CBFP’s member countries in Central Africa, Washington Ambassadors of CBFP donor countries, U.S. government officials, and representatives of multilateral agencies to discuss the overall progress of the CBFP and to present a vision for the U.S. engagement in the partnership for the future.

Please download the official Forum Brief published by ICCF

The Forum receives financial and organizational support from WWF, Wildlife Conservation Society, Conservation International and African Wildlife Foundation, all members to CBFP and to the CARPE consortium. For further information please check ICCF's website.

Upcoming Events

Currently there are no events.

This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.

Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
