WWF Forest and Climate Programme online REDD+ Learning Session on Wednesday, April 23 at 10AM EDT/1600 CEST

Please join the next WWF Forest and Climate Programme online REDD+ Learning Session on Wednesday, April 23at 10AM EDT/1600 CEST.

Learning Session 22: Making Sense of the FCPF Carbon Fund’s Methodological Framework

When: Wednesday, April 23, 10:00AM EDT/1600 CEST

What:   A few months ago, the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) approved the “rules document” that will guide the development and selection of large-scale REDD+ programs in 5-10 forest countries. Many view the Carbon Fund as a critically important piloting space to test the concept of results-based payments for programs that address the drivers of deforestation and degradation, and as a possible pre-cursor to a REDD+ window under the Green Climate Fund. So what do these rules look like? And what do they mean?

This REDD+ learning session will feature experts who can help us make sense of the major issues, decisions and their implications – for social and environmental safeguards, carbon accounting and climate integrity.

A Q+A session will follow the presentation.

Upcoming Events

Currently there are no events.

This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.

Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
