6th Meeting of CBFP Regional Advisory Committee (Brazzaville, Congo)
The 6th Regional Advisory Committee of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (the acronym CCR stands for the French Comitél Consultatif Régional) will take place on October 30 - 31, 2008 in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, at the Hotel Meridien. The facilitation's rather late decision to change places, and to move the event from Douala to Brazzaville, has been motivated by the Council of Minister's extraordinary session that will also take place in Brazzaville, and the fact that a significant number of members has already planned to fly into the region to attend the World Forum on Sustainable Development, organized by the Republic of Congo.
While the committee has initially been limitated to six active members, who should each of them represent a member college, the German facilitation would like to enlargen this meeting to include any of our partners who wish to participate. However, we wish the participants to be highly involved and following CBFP's development in order to allow for constructive discussions. In the same context, the facilitation calls upon the partners to prepare resume notes about their actvities in the region linked to the partnership's objectives and the implementation of the COMIFAC Convergence Plan. Those partners who cannot attend the meeting are asked to forward the their resume report to the German facilitation team (cbfp@gtz.de).

Upcoming Events
This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.
Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
