Overview of the 7 pillars of the REDD+ national framework-strategy
The overall objective of the agriculture pillar of REDD+ in the DRC is to reduce the impact of agriculture on forests while actively contributing to meet the country’s food security objectives and to the determination to make the agricultural sector a pillar of economic growth in the country. Overall objectives and main aspects of land-related enabling pillars, land development and governance and forest sector pillars -sustainable management, conservation and increase in carbon stocks, demographics, energy and agriculture.
