Innovating Banking and Finance for a Sustainable Future. 14th to 15th of July 2016 in Karlsruhe, Germany.
A two-day International Conference on Sustainable Finance will be held from the 14th to 15th of July 2016 in Karlsruhe, Germany. The conference will bring together senior leadership of the financial institutions, policy makers and regulators, representatives of international development and multilateral institutions and other major stakeholders.
The conference delegates will discuss key issues facing financial sector including: innovating banking & finance for a sustainable future; mainstreaming climate action within financial institutions; creating effective partnerships with government bodies for building sustainable communities; and initiatives needed to position financial sector as the major strategic force in implementing the historic UN resolution “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” which came into force on the 1st of January 2016.
Further to re-thinking banking and finance and discussing innovative financing solutions for creating low-carbon and sustainable economy, the conference will be an occasion to explore opportunities of cooperation with institutions from around the world. The delegates will also visit green energy and sustainable infrastructure projects of the City of Karlsruhe, Germany and will be welcomed to join the optional excursion to Black Forest National Park which will take place on Sunday the 17th of July 2016.
