"Open House Day" - IFLs definition in FSC Certified concessions in Congo Basin

Dear stakeholders,

As you may be aware of, an HCV Congo Basin Roadmap has been developed in 2015 after two rounds of international consultation, establishing a FSC Regional Working in June 2016, mandated to develop a regional set of Guideline to identify, manage and monitor HCV for the Congo Basin forests. This Regional Working Group is a chamber-balanced working group composed by twelve (12) members.

Within the frame of their roadmap, a fourth meeting has been planned from 22nd to 25th of August 2017 in Brazzaville, at Hôtel Marina.

This workshop will be entirely focused on the development of sub-regional indicators for the management of Intact Forest Landscapes (IFLs) within certified forests concessions from Congo Basin.

Due to the importance of this work conducted by the HCV Regional Working Group, we would like to offer to interested and relevant stakeholders the possibility to join an “Open House Day” planned on the 24th of August 2017 physically or virtually, in order to help the Regional Working Group to find an acceptable and consistent solution in this innovative debate.

You’ll find enclosed the public agenda of this meeting and the previous solutions thought by the working group, which would be precised and amended during this fourth workshop.

The official language of the working group is French language, the final documents will be duly translated into English and you will all receive the outcomes and deliverables of this work.

If you wish to participate, physically or virtually, please kindly let me know by email.

Upcoming Events

Currently there are no events.

This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.

Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
