Building on the tradition of “Forest Legality Week”, we are pleased to announce that WRI will host the third Forest Legality Week from October 8-10, 2019, with the generous support and cooperation of the U.S. Forest Service and the United States Agency for International Development.
Forest Legality Week is intended to enable dialogue and inspire action and partnerships to more effectively implement and monitor timber trade legality and due diligence measures. It is a multi-stakeholder, international event, drawing stakeholders from governments, the private sector, civil society, the scientific community, and service providers such as timber certification bodies. The main meeting will take place over three days, and is designed to accommodate a range of side meetings and interactions convened during the entire week by partner organizations.

Upcoming Events
This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.
Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
