FAO / ACP-FLEGT Support Programme: "Cross-border flows of timber in the Great Lakes region in the context of the FLEGT action plan", Bujumbura, Burundi
An international workshop "Cross-border flows of timber in the Great Lakes region in the context of the FLEGT action plan" will be held in Bujumbura (Burundi), from 22 through 24 November 2010. Jointly organized by FAO, CIFOR and IUCN, the 3-day workshop aims to answer the increasingly pressing need for the countries in the region to seek a long-term solution to both the informal exploitation and trade of forest products in east DRC to lucrative East-African markets.
