International Conference on Climate Action (ICCA): Local Governments Driving Transformation

ICCA will highlight the strategic role that municipalities play in combating climate change, recognizing that many have developed successful measures to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The Conference will serve as a platform for exchanging the know-how that subnational governments have acquired through policy creation and implementation. The contributions local action has made to low-carbon, sustainable urban development will be on display through a variety of events, including high-level discussions, open market places, interactive workshops and an award ceremony. Expected participants are municipality representatives, regional and national governments, networks, foundations and researchers. Germany's Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), the National Climate Initiative, the Ministry For Environment, Energy and Climate Protection, and the German Institute of Urban Affairs are sponsoring the Conference.

Upcoming Events

Currently there are no events.

This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.

Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
