This is to inform you that the CARPE USAID funded Program will be organizing a side event in Durban during the COP 17th UNFCCC conference as follows:

Event title:   REDD+ in the Green Heart of Africa : A Participatory, Science-based Approach to Conservation

 Date and Time:     Monday, December 5th  2011 at 13:00 to 15:00 h (1:00 – 3:00 pm)

The overall “theme” and “message” of the CARPE event is to highlight how CARPE funded actions at landscape level, national level - and for thematic areas such as remote sensing based analysis of land cover and change, at regional level - have contributed to helping countries develop the needed capacity and prepare for implementing their national REDD strategies and action plans.

Please, find under the following link a poster / flyer for  the event.

Upcoming Events

Currently there are no events.

This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.

Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
