Asia-Pacific Forestry Commission - 26th Session location: Philippines

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and its partners invite people interested in, and committed to, sustainable forest management in Asia and the Pacific to come together for Asia-Pacific Forestry Week (APFW) 2016 in Clark Freeport Zone, Philippines, 22-26 February 2016.

APFW 2016 is expected to be one of the largest and most important forestry gatherings in the region in 2016. Asia-Pacific Forestry Week 2016: Growing our Future! seeks to encourage participants to chart new pathways that guide the development of forestry into the future.

APFW 2016 will be organized in five thematic streams:

  1. Pathways to prosperity: future trade and markets
  2. Tackling climate change: challenges and opportunities
  3. Serving society: forestry and people
  4. New institutions, new governance
  5. Our green future: green investment and growing our natural assets

Streams will comprise a range of workshops, seminars, panels, meetings, and other innovative events that will contribute to a broad and inclusive dialogue and outcomes that will help to shape the future of forestry in the Asia-Pacific region.

Upcoming Events

Currently there are no events.

This calendar is based on information provided by COMIFAC and the Franco-German support office is considered a complementary event schedule to the official calendar posted on COMIFAC's website. (http://www.comifac.org/events). It offers a broad overview of international and regional events that are directly linked to CBFP's objectives: major conferences and meetings, workshops and training sessions and other activities scheduled by CBFP Facilitation and its member organisations.

Our choice is by no means exhaustive and depends largely on our partners' notice. Every partner organisation is thus welcome to contribute to a rich variety of posted events and to share its schedule with CBFP's Facilitation and the other members! We may also, upon request, forward your input to the COMIFAC webmaster.
