International Technical. Tropical Timber Association (ATIBT) Forum in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, from the 23 to the 25 October 2012

 

After BELEM (Brazil 2007), BOLOGNE (Italy 2010), ATIBT organizes its next forum in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam, from the 23 to the 25 October 2012.

 

This event will gather actors from the tropical timber sector especially African certified timber producers and Vietnamese companies. 

 

Vietnam is one of the most important exporting countries for timber and furniture trade sector and could become a key partner of sustainable forest management in Congo basin by developing market access for African certified timber products.

 

Presentations, workshops and field sessions are planned dealing with important issues such as: forestry and timber processing in Vietnam, timber Asian market, legal and certified timber production in Africa, global timber market requirements.
